Burnt Sienna Art School Berlin is an arts organisation founded in 2016 by visual artist Louise Thomas.

We are happy to announce the Autumn course in life drawing. Burnt Sienna offers two core courses in drawing and painting, these courses take place once every season. Louise Thomas is a visiting tutor at the Newlyn School of Art. The traditional teaching techniques and methods Louise brings from this highly respected school in Cornwall are brought to Berlin and work alongside contemporary methods including curation of an exhibition of student work in a local gallery. Unlike other independent art schools in Berlin Burnt Art School Sienna limits class sizes in order to insure the highest level of artistic development and flexibility towards methods of teaching. The course duration is five weeks including gallery visit the course will culminate in an exhibition at Das gift raum exhibition space.

This structured life drawing course led by Louise Thomas occurs four times a year comprising of five classes plus a curated exhibition of your work in a local gallery space. Over the course you will attain and develop new skills in drawing. The course will cover many areas of basic draughtsmanship including measuring, charcoal reduction, tonal value, composition and building narratives in your work. The course cost covers all costs including a life model. The course numbers are limited and as the course progresses it is tailored to the attending students individual needs. One of the classes will take place in an international gallery in Berlin.
At the end of the course you will have a comprehensive selection of drawings to add to your portfolio with a broad range of studies and art works. The course will instill confidence in the student and cultivate each student unique style of working. The course will end with an option to take part in a curated exhibition at Das Gift Raum gallery space.

EXHIBITION at Das Gift Raum end of September Das Gift Raum Donaustr.119 Berlin
