About this event
You’ve probably seen a dog tremble during a thunderstorm or fireworks. We tremor like that to regulate our nervous system. Therefore Shaking meditation releases the tension the body uses in the fight-or-flight response. The idea is to loosen up and shake out all the built-up tension in your mind and body. In trauma, our bodies get locked into stress responses trying to protect us. Most people’s distress is due to their body getting stuck in protective patterns — muscles tensed, tight breathing, fast heartbeat, jaws clenched. Shaking is the body’s natural way of cleaning itself. It activates your life energy and shake your way to better health and wellbeing!
