«Darkness.. you cannot prevent it, or resist. Since without it, how would you exist?”
Ana Paz (London) and Demi Anter (Berlin) collaborate around the themes of origins, family and life cycles, in a night of poetry and performance as part of The Distillery at Keith Bar. Join us as we seek to embrace, and not resist, the light and dark without and within.
ANA PAZ is a spoken word artist from south east London with a background in theatre and performing arts. At the age of 15 she was heavily influenced by Hip Hop, which encouraged her to write poetry as a way of communicating her emotions and reflecting on wider issues effecting society. Ana is now focused on fusing artforms and creating work that allows us to better understand one another and ourselves.
DEMI ANTER was born to Austrian and German parents and grew up in the California desert. Her writing has appeared in numerous journals across the US, UK and Europe. She has been a featured poet on Belfast’s Poetry Jukebox, Cúirt Festival’s Spoken Word Platform, Glastonbury, Electric Picnic Festival and Edinburgh Fringe. She lives in Berlin.
